NINA MAUK
Food Hospitality Leader
Nina has always loved working with food. As our Food Hospitality Leader, Nina oversees her team to make sure our events at the Pavilion are creatively arranged and lovingly served.
Nina recalls always knowing God. From earliest youth she’s depended on Him as she was born three months premature and very nearsighted, classified legally blind. "I remember Him walking to school with me. Even though I was continually teased during my school days, the good thing was that at home I was never raised to feel handicapped."
After surgeries to correct a crooked left eye, then to remove cataracts, and finally to get lens implants, Nina graduated from the Arts Institute of Nashville with a degree in Culinary Arts. Through the years, Nina has literally worked her way up the food chain, starting at fast food restaurants to kitchens in fine hotels and country clubs. She also has experience in catering.
"You just do what you have to do. Being a single parent and having to overcome so many obstacles has actually been what has kept me sane."
Nina has three grown children—a beautiful daughter and two sons, and two gifted grandchildren.
